The US auction is the dearest on LinkedIn
In Kiin Labs Report No. 5 the median US advertiser running single-country campaigns paid $91.30 per thousand impressions across 268 accounts, the highest of any country we measure. A landing page click cost $21.68 (234 accounts) and a lead $292 (137). Because CPM explains 55% of the variance in cost per landing page click, US programmes are won on bidding and audience construction more than on creative.
Big audiences spread budget thin
A tightly defined US B2B SaaS audience is often 300,000 to 800,000 people. Budget spreads so thin that nobody sees the ad twice, and the familiarity that makes the bottom of the funnel work never builds. US programmes need a named account list and a penetration target, with Meta and Reddit adding cheap repeat impressions against the people LinkedIn has already qualified.
Google carries more weight in the US
US category search volumes are several times the UK's, so Google Ads is a real capture channel rather than a branded-terms safety net. We run category and competitor search with conversion tracking into the CRM, so LinkedIn gets credit for the searches it creates.
How a London team runs American accounts
About half of Kiin's clients are in the United States, including Giga Energy in Houston and MarketerHire. Your account is worked during US overnight hours, and reports are ready by the start of the East Coast day. Calls run in your morning. Billing is in USD on a flat monthly fee, with no percentage of spend. The LinkedIn-only version of this is on our LinkedIn Ads agency for US companies page.
What it costs
$2,500 a month for LinkedIn Ads or Google Ads on its own, $4,500 for LinkedIn and Google together, and $5,500 for full paid media across LinkedIn, Google, Meta and Reddit. GTM outbound is an add-on from $4,000. Many US B2B paid media agencies charge a percentage of spend or quote only on a call. Ad spend is separate, paid directly to each platform on accounts you own, and never marked up.
Budgets that work in the US
$5,000 to $10,000 a month in LinkedIn media is the realistic floor for a full-funnel US test, before Google, Meta and Reddit. Below about $3,000 you are running one campaign and hoping. Accounts above roughly $30,000 a month can add LinkedIn CTV as a fifth channel.
