Disclosure and methodology
Kiin is on this list and publishes it. Every fact about another agency was read from that agency's own site on 17 September 2026; where something is not stated, the entry says so. Nothing here is paid placement.
Scored on: whether thought leader ads are a stated practice or a checkbox · whether the agency writes or sources the posts as well as running the media · objective and bidding approach against the published data · pricing transparency · verifiable client results. Not scored on: size, awards, design.
What a thought leader ads agency has to do differently
A thought leader ad is a post from a person's profile that a company pays to promote. The agency cannot rewrite it, add a headline or bolt on a call to action, so the work is choosing the author, the post and the audience — then bidding and refreshing correctly. The data says the author explains most of the outcome: the top 10% of authors get 8.6 times the engagement of the bottom 10%, and no hook, length or link decision survives holding the author constant. It also says most agencies still get the objective wrong — brand awareness pays 49% more per engagement on audiences under 10,000 — and that 91% of clicks never reach a landing page, so any agency reporting total CTR is reporting an engagement rate. The full study is LinkedIn Thought Leader Ads Benchmarks 2026; the format guide is what are thought leader ads.
The agencies
1. Kiin — best for thought leader ads run to the only published benchmark study of the format
Kiin runs thought leader ads as the demand engine of a full-funnel LinkedIn programme — founder and executive posts sponsored to a named account list, retargeted with lead gen forms and conversation ads — and it is the agency that published the benchmark data the rest of this page quotes: brand awareness only on cold audiences over 30,000, engagement everywhere else, bid low, refresh creative by audience size, and report landing page CTR rather than the 4.56% total CTR that is really an engagement rate. Every account is benchmarked against 1,000+ connected accounts through Kiin Intelligence.
Tradeoff: we wrote this list. Read the disclosure, check the report's method section, and hold us to the numbers.
2. B2Linked — best for pure LinkedIn Ads specialism with the longest track record
The most established LinkedIn-only agency in the world, and the one whose founder most of the industry learned from. The pitch is waste reduction — targeting, bidding and campaign settings — with every strategy customised by senior local experts. Thought leader ads are run as part of the LinkedIn programme rather than as a separate product.
Tradeoff: LinkedIn only, so Google and Meta are someone else's job; the site lists two team members, so capacity is the question to ask.
3. Impactable — best for LinkedIn as the signals hub for a multi-channel B2B programme
Impactable runs LinkedIn as the place that reveals who is engaging, from which company, in what role, and feeds that into every other channel. Its published persona-level CTR and CPC bands (e.g. demand gen directors at 2.1–4.0% CTR, ~$3.40 CPC) are unusually specific. Thought leader ads sit inside the demand creation practice.
Tradeoff: no published pricing, and the Clutch score on the site (3.4) is worth reading the reviews behind.
4. DowSocial — best for UK thought leader ads with published fixed prices and a training option
The only agency on this list that publishes fixed prices for getting thought leader ads live, and the only one offering to teach your team instead of running it. Its own line — "in B2B they almost always outperform company ads, and most agencies still are not running them" — matches the data. The fit is a company that wants the first campaign built properly and then run in-house.
Tradeoff: a small specialist; the managed retainer is on request, and the site does not publish client results.
5. YOYABA — best for DACH and European B2B software at €10k+ monthly ad spend, paid media with creative production
One of the few European agencies that publishes its entry price and states its floor: €5M+ ARR, €10k+ a month in media. Case studies are specific — a thought leader ads strategy credited with 124+ deals for HubSpot DACH, +71% annual growth in new paying customers for Proof, and a signal-based outbound engine that doubled outbound SQLs in five months for Cognism. Creative production (lead designer, video producer) sits inside the team.
Tradeoff: the €10,000 a month fee floor plus €10k media makes it a €20k-a-month decision; mid-market European software is the sweet spot, not early-stage.
6. GrowthSpree — best for B2B SaaS demand gen across Google, LinkedIn and Meta with a flat monthly fee
GrowthSpree publishes unusually specific client numbers: Hubilo scaled from $20k to $250k a month in pipeline over 18 months with an 86% reduction in cost per result; Atomicwork built $750k of enterprise pipeline in a quarter through Google, LinkedIn and ABM; Rocketlane cut cost per demo 36%. In-house AI tooling (it mentions its own MCP servers) is part of the pitch.
Tradeoff: "best B2B SaaS marketing agency" is the site's own description of itself, and the flat fee is stated as a principle rather than a number.
7. Rampiq — best for LinkedIn pipeline programmes tied to AI-search visibility
Rampiq's LinkedIn position is that cold segments do not convert and warming comes first — the same finding as the thought leader ads data — and it pairs paid LinkedIn with getting the brand cited in AI answers. For a company that wants LinkedIn and answer-engine visibility from one team, it is a distinctive combination.
Tradeoff: no pricing, and the thought leader ads offer is inside a broader programme rather than a product.
8. GrowthLane — best for early-stage B2B SaaS on a published tiered retainer
The cheapest published entry point on this list, and one of very few agencies that names three price tiers. Its FAQ is candid about timelines — paid channels show early signal in two to four weeks, pipeline lift compounds over 60 to 90 days — and the LinkedIn work includes thought leader ads within the paid social practice.
Tradeoff: at $750 to $4,000 a month you are buying a small amount of senior time, not a team; the site reads as a solo or very small operator.
9. Understory — best for paid media, GTM engineering and LinkedIn content run by one team
The "allbound" model: a paid strategist, a go-to-market engineer and a content writer share one dataset and one target list, so the LinkedIn ads warm the accounts the outbound then works. Understory has said publicly that answer-engine visibility became its largest lead source, and its client list is the strongest on this page for a small team. The HeyReach testimonial is the pointed one: "$50k with no ROI on LinkedIn ads" before Understory, three meetings booked with a fraction of that after.
Tradeoff: a six-month minimum and no published fee; the model needs the client to want outbound and content as well as media.
10. Linkedist — best for LinkedIn content, personal branding and ads for companies whose executives will post
Linkedist starts from the organic side — profiles, posts, employee advocacy — and adds paid. For thought leader ads that is the right order: the ad is a post from a person, so an agency that writes the posts and runs the ads from the same brief has an advantage. Clients credit it with brand awareness and visibility rather than pipeline numbers.
Tradeoff: content and visibility outcomes rather than pipeline; not the choice if the brief is cost per qualified lead.

How to choose
- "Who picks the author and the post?" If the answer is "whoever you give us", the agency is running media, not thought leader ads. The author is most of the result.
- "Which objective, and why?" The right answer depends on audience size and warmth. An agency that runs brand awareness on a retargeting pool has not read the data.
- "What CTR do you report?" Landing page CTR. If they quote 2–4%, ask what happened to the other 91% of the clicks.
- "How often do you refresh, and on what signal?" Audience size, not the calendar: every two weeks under 10,000 people, monthly over 100,000.
- "What do you charge, and is it published?" Three agencies on this page publish a number. The rest quote on a call.
