What it means

A 7× gap between the cheap quarter and the dear one.

What the number is

A demo lead is a LinkedIn form whose name, headline or call to action asks for a demo, a call, an audit, a trial or a quote. The $350 is the median of each account's own cost per demo lead, not spend divided by leads across the panel; that pooled figure is $407 and is dominated by the largest spenders.

Why other Kiin numbers differ

Report No. 3 puts the demo median at $343 on 115 accounts, because it counts lead gen forms only, from an earlier snapshot. In the US alone the median is $520 across 62 accounts.

What the cheap accounts do

The biggest single lever is where the form sits. The same advertiser pays 57% less per demo lead in the inbox than in the feed, because a demo form in a message completes 42% of the time and in the feed 3.9%. The full set of levers, including pool size, audience size and the word "demo" itself, is in Report No. 4.

What good looks like

Under $161 a demo lead puts you in the top quarter. Over $754 is the bottom quarter, and usually means a demo ask to a cold audience in the feed.

FAQ

Questions about this number.

How much does a demo cost on LinkedIn?

$350 per demo lead at the median advertiser account, across 155 accounts with five or more demo leads in the twelve months to 7 September 2026. The top quarter pays under $161 and the bottom quarter over $754.

What is a good cost per demo on LinkedIn?

Under $161 per demo lead puts an account in the top quarter of the Kiin Labs panel. Under $71 is the top 10%.

Why is my LinkedIn cost per demo so high?

Most often because the demo ask runs as a feed lead gen form to a cold audience. In the same account, a demo ask in the inbox costs 57% less per lead because the form completes 42% of the time against 3.9% in the feed.

Is cost per demo the same as cost per lead?

No. A content lead through a LinkedIn form costs $164 at the median account and a demo lead roughly twice that. Never quote a blended cost per lead.
