What is a LinkedIn MCP server (Model Context Protocol)?
It is a server that exposes LinkedIn actions or data as tools an AI assistant can call, using the Model Context Protocol, an open standard supported by Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, Gemini, Grok and others. “LinkedIn” covers several separate products, so there is no single LinkedIn MCP server: there is one per job.

Which LinkedIn MCP server do you need?
Match the server to the LinkedIn product. Ads work needs an ads server; posting needs a posting tool on LinkedIn's API; people and Sales Navigator data mostly comes from session-based tools that carry account risk. Kiin covers LinkedIn Ads only. It does not post to personal profiles.

Is there a LinkedIn MCP server for posting and profiles?
Yes, several, and the safe ones use LinkedIn's official API. Zapier's LinkedIn MCP offers Create Share Update and Create Company Update. Composio's LinkedIn toolkit creates and deletes posts and reads profile and company info. ContentIn and Taplio expose post drafting and scheduling over MCP.

None of these touch LinkedIn Ads, and Kiin does not post organic content. Kiin does read your thought leader ads, which are promoted posts, by author and hook.
Is there a LinkedIn Sales Navigator MCP?
Not an official one. LinkedIn's Sales Navigator API is limited to approved partners, and no documented Sales Navigator MCP exists. Community servers and tools such as Unipile drive your own Sales Navigator session, which falls under the same User Agreement restriction on automated access. Weigh that risk before connecting a seat you rely on.
Does LinkedIn have an official MCP server?
Not a public one. LinkedIn runs an undocumented, OAuth-protected Marketing MCP endpoint at mcp.linkedin.com/marketing/mcp that advertises ads read and write scopes, and siblings for Learning and Talent. There are no docs or tool list, and access needs an approved developer app.
